Today and yesterday I watched the four part series Olive Kitteridge. This series was based on a book by the same name. Frances McDormand plays a bitter woman dealing with her husband and son, and can sometimes appear cold and heartless to those around her. However, it is clear for viewers to recognize that Olive does carry compassion in her heart. This series was well written and portrayed a heartwarming story. I will say that as of now, I am an unemployed and decided to work on my resume during this show and missed some details of the show’s plot. It is not my goal to portray an accurate or precise review of the show, but to give some of my perspective while watching it. I will say that even though I missed details of the show, I am not curious enough to go back and watch what I missed. I wasn’t able to delve into the characters in this show like I am able to do so in other programs. I am mostly excited to have completed it and move on to the next show.
My rating: 2.5/5
